A quick walkthrough of what the app looks like and how the setup works, before you read anything else.

Why This Exists

You're not a tournament player. Why pay like one?

Mantic's official app is genuinely good if you're running ranked events and need Global Rankings. But if you just play casually — a game here, a game there, no events — a recurring subscription for an army list doesn't make sense. This is built for that second kind of player.

Both can coexist
This isn't trying to replace the official app for everyone — if you run tournaments or care about Global Rankings, you still want that. This is the option for the rest of us: casual players who just want a great list builder without an ongoing bill. Mantic's own free tier is also worth knowing about — it already includes the full rules and one list builder list at no cost, with the subscription mainly unlocking unlimited lists, ranked play, and Global Rankings.
Why free?
This started as something built so a couple of us could actually play without everyone paying a subscription. It grew a long way past that, and charging for it would only make it a worse thing for the community. So it's free, with no account and no catch. If it saves you time and you'd like to say thanks, there's an optional donation on the itch.io page — but nothing is held back either way.
How It Works

Two pieces, both under your control

I host the app itself. Everything it reads and writes stays with you — your Sheet, your Google account, your browser. None of it passes through me.

📊

1. Your Google Sheet

Free, and you copy it in one click. This is your card database — every character, weapon, and rule lives here, editable by you at any time. It stays in your own Drive.

⚙️

2. Your Apps Script

A small free Google service that connects your Sheet to the app. It's included in the Sheet - you just deploy it. Runs under your own Google account, and nobody else touches it.

Your Data

Nothing you enter reaches me

Your Sheet lives in your Drive. Your Apps Script runs under your Google account. The connection details you type in are saved only in your own browser so you don't have to retype them — they're never sent to me, never stored on any server I run, and I have no way to see them or reach your data. There's no account and no login, so there's nothing for me to hold.
